Brain-body Parenting by Mona Delahooke is a must-have book for all parents, as well as anyone who works closely with children. It is a game-changer! A truly powerful TEDx talk by Dr. Shefali Tsabary! I have watched it over and over again. Every time, it uplifts me, it challenges me, and it inspires me. It reminds me of why I do this work with my clients, and why I do this work for my own children, and how important this work is. If you use only one resource on this page, please PLEASE watch this video. It’s only 11 1/2 minutes long, but its impact will last a lifetime. “It’s time for us to change the spotlight, to turn it inward, and change it from being the child who needs to be fixed, the child as the one with the problem, and parental evolution as the solution. The extent to which we as parents can love deeply, laugh loudly, risk bravely and lose freely, is the extent to which our children will know joy and freedom.” – Dr. Shefali Tsabary

While we all love our kids, our actions and words don’t always translate into love for our children. Unconditional Parenting by Alfie Kohn describes the common disconnects that happen between what a parent says and does… and what their child actually experiences. In this book, Kohn provides excellent guidance on how to both parent and discipline a child in ways that ensures that the child feels both safe and loved.

An important resource for recognizing and adapting our parenting style when our child has a different way of sensing the world around them.

Neurodiversity can be a challenge, at first, but when we see the world through the eyes of our children, the challenges turn into joys.

A great book that has had a profound impact on my parenting philosophy.

As the parent of a step-son with ADHD, I can relate to how frustrating it can be to parent a child who has an extremely short attention span, poor impulse control, and is constantly prone to inattentiveness. This is great go-to resource for parents of children with ADHD. Gabor Mate’s insights are mind-blowing. Spoilers: ADHD, as a disability, doesn’t need to be a permanent condition! Conscious parenting is the key.

An amazing talk by Dr. Daniel Siegel, a brilliant educator as to the true nature of emotional intelligence and mental development in children, teenagers, and adults. His concept of Mindsight is a game-changer for anyone who wants to take their parenting to the next level.
